"The alphabet is a construct of fragmented bits and parts which have no semantic meaning in themselves, and which must be strung together in a line, bead-like, and in a prescribed order. Its use fostered and encouraged [...] a space and of a time that are uniform,
For many people rationality has the connotation of uniformity and connectiveness. "I don't follow you" means "I don't think what you're saying is rational."
Visual space is uniform, continuous, and connected. The rational man in our Western culture is a visual man. The fact that most conscious experience has little "visuality" in it is lost on him.

This business area has four skyscrapers which are the highest buildings of Madrid and Spain. These four buildings are the Torre Caja Madrid (the highest of the four with 250 meters of height), the PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Torre de Cristal and the Torre Espacio.
Due to his height these towers can be seen even from the periphery of the capital. Our Playmobil moved to one of these zones and could appreciate the silhouette of the towers.
Close to these towers, that were finished at the beginning of 2008, there will be located the International Center of Conventions of Madrid, a congress building by 70.000 m ² of surface and a principal auditorium by capacity for 3.500 people.
The autumn has arrived to the capital. The climate of Madrid is a continental climate, characterized by very warm summers and very cold winters. Even in October we have had high temperatures, but the cold is already here. Because of the rain this days we have found the most representative streets of the capital deserted. On the other hand, markets and malls have turned into the best refuge to have a good time with some friends. One of this markets is the Mercado de San Miguel, located in the street of the same name, close to the Plaza Mayor, this market preserves his original structure of iron of beginning of the 20th century. A perfect place to taste the famous Spanish “tapas” while the rain wets the streets of the capital.
Manovich show us how the cinema in the twentieth century takes the linear narrative, real action, like his thread, repudiating the nineteenth century techniques of motion picture; and how the animation of the last two decades takes this forgotten language up again.
Our friend "Playmobile" knows wich is his place in the motion picture language (animation), but refuse to take part in that "bastard relative" who was the shade of the audiovisual language. He doesn't want to be artificial, graphic rather than photografic, discreet and discontinuous, nor become image layers separately. He only wants to keep a real action narrative, at the same than all the directors and film editors that followed Griffith.
